Why do people cancel their Blink Membership?
Founded in 2011, Blink Fitness has been relatively slow growing their number of gyms across the country compared to some of the other chains. One of the reasons being is that they prefer their gyms to maintain a sense of community and friendship. Although in more recent times, they’ve started to expand at a much faster rate, opening new gyms and forming partnerships with many organizations around the states. Despite their positive efforts, not everyone is happy with their membership, which has led to many people wanting to find out how to most efficiently cancel their contracts with them.
One of the most popular reasons members decide to cancel is that they simply no longer need the use of a fully-fledged gym. Whether they’ve achieved their fitness goals, or would rather exercise in a different format than just going to the gym, if they’re not using it anymore, there’s no reason to keep paying for it. And so, they go on to cancel their Blink membership and use the money for something else. This is quite a common reason why people cancel their gym memberships, with Canada’s Fit4Less also citing this as a major reason their members are choosing to leave their gyms.
The second most cited reason to cancel is the cost. While the signup fee of less than $1 may be enticing to get you signed up in the beginning, that all quickly changes. And it’s not just the cost of the gym itself, it’s the getting to the gym, the buying of new clothes, the new diet you’ll be one, and a whole lot more. Maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle is far more expensive than the opposite, so it’s not for everyone. If you’ve ever been to New Zealand, this is also a reason why you might end up cancelling your membership to City Fitness.
Although Blink Fitness has been around for over a decade now, they’ve just recently started to expand their gyms to many new locations around the country.
However, if you’ve tried them out and discovered that their gyms aren’t for you, follow the steps above and you’ll be able to cancel your membership in no time.
