Noom is one of the most popular health and weight management apps available. Its two main focuses help users lose weight or stay healthy. Millions have downloaded the app for their phones and hundreds of thousands say they love it. But there’s also plenty that don’t. And if that’s the case for you, you’ll want to know how to cancel Noom.
Thankfully, being a modern company, Noom has made it relatively simple to cancel an account with them – whether it’s still in the trial or a fully-paid account. Follow these steps and your Noom account will be canceled in no time.
Steps to cancel Noom
Step 1 – Open the Noom app and login to your account
There’s no website to login, so you’ll need to use your phone to open the app and login to your account.
Step 2 – Tap the chat bubble to speak to one of their support specialists
There should be a blue chat icon floating in the top right corner. Tap on it to open your messages.
Step 3 – Send a message saying you’d like to cancel your account
Send a message to either Concierge Eva or your Goal Specialist’s name that you want to cancel and/or the reasons why.
Step 4 – They will reply with a link to confirm your cancellation
They should reply back with a link to confirm one last time you’d like to cancel.
Step 5 – Click the link and your account will be cancelled
After you click the link, your account will officially cancelled. Log back in to your account to confirm it’s been cancelled.
Other ways to cancel
As Noom is primarily an app-focused business, they don’t have all the support a traditional software service might have. Meaning there’s no publicly available email, phone number, or message form on their website to contact them with.
That means the only way to cancel your Noom account is to follow the steps above.
If there’s an error for whatever reason and your account is still being charged, consider contacting your bank and letting them know. That should be able to assist.
Many people who’ve signed up to Noom, have also given Home Chef a go to help with their healthy meal planning. However, if you’re now canceling Noom, you might as well cancel Home Chef as well.
Why do people want to cancel their Noom membership?
Noom is a wonderful app – there’s no doubt about it. The interface they offer allows all the features and motivators to help you reach your weight and fitness goals make it a brilliant addition to anyone’s lifestyle.
In saying that, everyone changes over time – and many for the better. Meaning Noom has been such a good fitness-positive habit-builder that it’s simply not needed anymore. If that’s what’s happened to you – you’re more than right to cancel your Noom account and move on to better things.
Alternatively, everyone’s tastes are different, and maybe after trialing Noom’s premium subscriptions for a bit, you’ve found it’s simply just not for you. Again, you’re more than entitled to then cancel your account. This is the exact reason Noom offers a free trial – so people can discover for themselves whether it’s a fit for them.
This is also a major reason people end up canceling Emeals – a vastly popular meal delivery service that many people use with apps like Noom.
Will Noom ever deny your cancel request?
According to their help page, no, Noom will allow you to cancel anytime you please. That’s goes the same for if you’re still in the trial period. Meaning if you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged.
However, if you accidentally forget to cancel your trial account and you are charged the subscription fee, Noom clearly states on their website that they will not refund you.
We are unable to refund trial charges as well as charges that are processed after the trial period ends.
