Why do people want to cancel Instacart?
Despite it being less than 10 years old, Instacart has become a powerhouse name in the grocery delivery service. As of 2020, there are more than 350,000 active shoppers using the platform, which has led them to achieve a near $14 billion valuation. Despite their success and thousands of happy customers, their service simply doesn’t cut it for some. And these people end up going on to cancel Instacart in search of a better platform.
One of the most popular reasons people end up cancelling their orders and/or account with Instacart is the pricing. Prices vary depending on if you’re an Instacart Express member, and how fast you need the delivery, but every little bit adds up. And if you’re getting your groceries delivered multiple times a week to your home, you may find all that money spent on deliveries could be put to far better use.
Price is a major factor many people end up cancelling Home Chef as well. As it can quickly add up if you start getting every meal of the week delivered, the cost sometimes becomes just too much.
Another, more recent, reason people are opting to cancel their accounts is not because they’re unhappy with the service they’re receiving, but rather how they’re treating their own shoppers. Instacart shoppers even planned to go on strike earlier this year due to the pandemic. In these modern days of corporate social responsibility, people talk with their money. And if that means closing their Instacart accounts because of the way they treat their employees, they’ll most certainly do it.
Talk to staff
Instacart has taken a huge share of the market thanks to their great service, and even better customer support. If you find yourself having a bit of trouble cancelling your account with them, send them a message on social media and they’ll be able to help you out:
Although they don’t specifically deliver pre-selected and arranged meal kits, Shipt is one of Instacart’s largest competitors when it comes to food delivery. Lucky for Instacart, many people are asking how to cancel their Shipt account and move on to another service as well.
